How Phantom Pressurized Insecticide Spray Works
Phantom Pressurized Insecticide aerosol contains an active ingredient known as chlorfenapyr, which causes cellular death in the target insects. It doesn't act on the insects in the way that pyrethroids do. A pyrethroid-based insecticide works on contact; Phantom II provides slower yet long-lasting residual control. Whereas a pyrethroid attacks the nerves and paralyzes the pests, chlorfenapyr disrupts the cellular process and prevents the cells from converting food into energy.
Chlorfenapyr has a slow mode of action, much slower than other residual substances. Therefore, it provides excellent transfer effect as infected pests move through their colonies and pass the chemical along to other members. It works by ingestion and contact and provides residual control for at least a month.
Where to Use Phantom Pressurized Insecticide Spray
Use Prescription Treatment Phantom Pressurized Insecticide spray indoors and outdoors to kill various pest insects in and around homes and businesses. It can be used as a void treatment or sprayed into cracks and crevices to reach pests deep inside walls, tree stumps and fence posts. When spraying it outdoors, apply it to the areas around windows and doors to create a residual barrier against invading pests. It can also be applied to eaves, vents and holes around the exterior.
Apply Phantom Pressurized Insecticide indoors to cracks, crevices and voids in kitchens, attics, basements and other insect-prone areas. It can be applied inside cabinets, on and under furniture and into floor drains and pipes. Although it can be used to treat bedbugs, do not treat the bedding directly. Remove the sheets before spraying the seams and edges, and give the application time to dry before placing the sheets back on the bed.
Remember to keep interior applications to spot or crack-and-crevice treatments only. Some common areas to use Phantom II aerosol insecticidal spray include:
- Apartments
- Homes
- Pet areas
- Restaurants
- Warehouses
- Zoos
Target Pests
Prescription Treatment Phantom Pressurized Insecticide is the ideal residual spray for controlling social insects such as ants. Once they contact or ingest the chemical ingredient, they have time to return to the nest and to infect other members through contact. This long-lasting aerosol also kills roaches and brings the population under control within a month. It eliminates spiders and can even help to control termite infestations in residential and commercial areas.
Spray Phantom Pressurized Insecticide directly onto pest insects or into cracks and voids where they nest or hide during they day. It's useful for targeting current infestations and creating a barrier to prevent future pests from causing problems indoors and outdoors. Some common target pests include:
- Ants
